If you dream of your child/children working at NASA, Tesla, some company of tomorrow or starting their own innovative STEAM (science, technology, engineering math) business you have come to the right place. My family and I are on a journey of worldschooling our two daughters for a future in the STEAM world.
If this is not your current dream you might want to rethink it: https://www.cnbc.com/2016/12/22/bill-gates-says-people-with-these-3-skills-will-be-successful-in-the-future-job-market.html
Yes, our two daughters! The journey has already begun with my eldest daughters first love being things that move e.g. cars, trucks, tractors, etc… She does not take much interest in dolls and playing house. She tells us all day she wants to drive and fly to the moon.
From the day she was born, we enrolled her in daycares where we felt that she would not be stereotyped as being a girl and having to play with dolls and houses. Three years later and it has paid off. She is thick skinned, wrestles with the boys, plays more with boys than girls, but is admired by others for being a diamond in the rough.
As for our latest little one at 9 months old, we hope she will be inspired by her big sister and take on her love of things that move, building and science.
We will see years later how this all pans out!
Keep in mind we want to make this blog fun, so we try to stay away from the big words like science, technology engineering math because sometimes that scares and turns off people, as well as kids. However, we tie things into these themes.
