Tswassen Mills Rocks in our opinion!
Tswassen Mills mall visit! We have been debating visiting this mall because of the mixed reviews on it. However, our girls loved it. The play area was sparse, but my girls did not mind it especially my older one because she could run around. The highlight was her getting to go on different types of boats at the outdoor store. Also, we had dinner at Uncle Buck’s fish bowl where she got to bowl for free because a birthday party had gone to dinner so a lady and her daughter came over and said she could have what was left of their playtime. We plan to return again to try out the cars and explore the inside of some RV’s based on some mom’s recommendations.
Pizza Making :)
We’ve always been fond of making things. My husband particularly with making sauces from scratch because he finds it so wasteful when we buy a whole bottle of sauce and only use it like a few times before it goes in the garbage.
We always want to come up with the perfect experiment to do with the kids in order to get them interested in science or even making things. What we have come to realize is to just have them make something whether it is food or whatever, they are gaining new skills and we are fostering interest in them in the process.
Since this breakthrough, we have started to enjoy the process of doing things with them more! Before we would spend days stressed about what to do with them when it was unnecesssary.
My plan was to make a video of the kids and us making pizza with no boundaries, but it never happened because we got so caught up with the process. Oh well, part of the process of raising a family you will miss capturing some moments or when it is time to capture a moment your kids are uncooperative. I know we will gradually get there 🙂
Dream Dream Dream!
If you dream of your child/children working at NASA, Tesla, some company of tomorrow or starting their own innovative STEAM (science, technology, engineering math) business you have come to the right place. My family and I are on a journey of worldschooling our two daughters for a future in the STEAM world.
If this is not your current dream you might want to rethink it: https://www.cnbc.com/2016/12/22/bill-gates-says-people-with-these-3-skills-will-be-successful-in-the-future-job-market.html
Yes, our two daughters! The journey has already begun with my eldest daughters first love being things that move e.g. cars, trucks, tractors, etc… She does not take much interest in dolls and playing house. She tells us all day she wants to drive and fly to the moon.
From the day she was born, we enrolled her in daycares where we felt that she would not be stereotyped as being a girl and having to play with dolls and houses. Three years later and it has paid off. She is thick skinned, wrestles with the boys, plays more with boys than girls, but is admired by others for being a diamond in the rough.
As for our latest little one at 9 months old, we hope she will be inspired by her big sister and take on her love of things that move, building and science.
We will see years later how this all pans out!
Keep in mind we want to make this blog fun, so we try to stay away from the big words like science, technology engineering math because sometimes that scares and turns off people, as well as kids. However, we tie things into these themes.
